Mechanically Fastened Roofs

In case of mechanically fastened systems the singleply PVC membrane is secured against wind uplift by means of approved fasteners and washers. Mechanically fastened systems are fast to install and the installation is almost independent of the weather conditions. Sika mechanically fastened systems are ideal for large, lightweight metal deck structures and buildings such as workshops, distribution and logistics centers, warehouses and supermarkets.

Fully Adhered Roofs

In case of fully adhered systems the felt-backed single ply PVC membrane is adhered to the concrete or mortar screed substrate by means of approved adhesives. Fully adhered systems provide a high aesthetic appearance and offer freedom of design, especially for complex roof shapes. Sika fully adhered systems are ideal for public and residential buildings including schools, offices, hotels, hospitals, apartments, sports centers etc. plus all types of refurbishment projects.

Loosely Laid (Ballasted) Roofs

In case of a loosely laid systems the single ply PVC membrane is secured against wind uplift by means of ballast (concrete mortar screed, concrete tiles, soil, etc.). Loosely laid systems are extremely fast to install and the installation is almost independent of the weather conditions. Loosely laid systems do not require any penetrations into the roof deck. Sika loosely laid systems are ideal for accessible roofs (utility decks) and green roofs.
