Ronabond® EFC

Polymer Modified Pre-bagged External Fairing Coat

Ronabond® EFC is a prepacked fairing coat which is applied as a skim coat in thicknesses up to 3 mm to provide a smooth, hard finish to damaged, blemished and repaired external concrete surfaces. Ronabond® EFC is also used as a smoothing mortar prior to the application of protective coatings and paints. The material is supplied in preblended form which can be mixed by hand or machine.

Storage conditions

Stored properly in undamaged and unopened original sealed packaging in the dry conditions. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.

Application steps

MIXING

Add approximately 5.5 litre of clean water per 25 kg bag of powder. Mix with a mechanical forced action mixer for a minimum of 2 minutes until the powder has fully dispersed. Leave to normalise for 5 minutes and briefly remix before use, do not add additional water.

APPLICATION

Apply EFC on to dampened surface by trowel or spray. The surface should be sponge or tight trowelled for a smooth finish before dry. It is recommended that for aesthetics reasons only, Ronabond® EFC is covered with a protective and/or decorative coating.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use.
