Sikalastic® Fleece-80 is a polyester fleece used as reinforcement with Sikalastic® Liquid Applied Membrane systems. Part of the SikaRoof® MTC-05/-08/-10 UV AP and SikaRoof® Pro-01/-03 AP roof waterproofing and coating systems.

Application overview

Sikalastic® Fleece-80 is applied in combination with Sikalastic® Liquid Applied Membrane systems.

Always begin with the detailing before starting with waterproofing the main horizontal roof substrate.

  1. Apply appropriate Sikalastic® primer.
  2. Apply first coat of the Sikalastic® Liquid Applied Membrane.
  3. Roll in the Sikalastic® Fleece-80 and ensure that there are no bubbles or creases. Overlapping of Sikalastic® Fleece-80 must be minimum 5 cm. Ensure overlaps are sufficiently wet to bond. It is important the fleece does not lift during installation. On some substrates a spiked roller may assist installation.
  4. Apply further coats of the Sikalastic® Liquid Applied Membrane as detailed in the Sika® Method Statement of the corresponding Liquid Applied Membrane system.
