Enhanced water resistant bonding agent and mortar additive

SikaLatex®-700 Protect is a synthetic rubber emulsion with enhanced water-resistant. It is used as additive for cementitious bonding  bridges and high quality site-mix mortars.

Usage

SikaLatex®-700 Protect is used as bonding agent and site-mix mortar additive for the following applications:
  • Grouts and screeds
  • Patch repair mortars
  • Masonry mortars
  • Renders
  • Tile adhesives

Recommended Dosage

Use as Bonding Coat

Mix 1 part of SikaLatex®-700 Protect to 1 part of fresh Portland cement to produce a stiff bonding slurry.

Coverage: approx. 4–6 m2/kg of SikaLatex®-700 Protect (actual consumption depend on surface profile).

   

Use as Spatterdash

* moisture of sand will greatly affect amount of water added.

* adjust the quantity of gauging liquid add into the cement sand mixture untill desire condition for spatter dash.

Note : Ensure water contents of mixes are kept as low as possible.

**Mix 3 : Semi-dry screeds > 25 mm, require only 4 kg SikaLatex®-700 Protect.
Application steps

MIXING

Mix SikaLatex®-700 Protect with the correct amount of water to produce a gauging solution.

Pour part of the gauging solution into a suitable mixing container. While stirring slowly, add the cement-sand mix to the gauging solution and mix thoroughly until a smooth, uniform and lump-free mix is achieved. Within the mixing time add additional gauging solution to adjust to the desired consistency.
