Sika® SealTape S

Special tape for waterproof sealing around perimeters and joints in wet tiled areas

Sika® SealTape S is a waterproofing tape with woven bonding mesh on each side and an elastic expansion zone in the middle. The product is used as a component of a composite sealing system in conjunction with waterproofing membrane, tile adhesive and ceramic tiles to achieve water tightness in wet rooms and around wet areas.

Usage

  • Sealing of perimeters under tiles in wetrooms (private and public bathrooms and kitchens) and in terraces and balconies
  • Sealing both vertical and horizontal movement joints together at isolation, connection and construction joints in corners and around pipe entries
  • For internal and external use

  • Wall flashings 120 x 120 mm: WF, 2 pcs per sleeve / 70 sleeves per carton

Storage Conditions

Store properly in undamaged, unopened and original cardboard carton in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C. Protect from direct sunlight.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

Substrate must be dry, clean and free from oils, grease or any other contaminants, cement laitance and loose or friable particles.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

A suitable priming material / system should be used if necessary (please refer to the Product Data Sheets of SikaTop®-107 Seal HK).
